EVENTS

Dansense-Nrtyabodha is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and is rooted in the concept of rasa—deep engagement—which acknowledges that by their very presence in a space together, every person--artist or audience--contributes to an experience in that moment. Dansense, therefore, aims to foster:

community--engage, collaborate and create with dance and make it accessible to every body and any experience,
learning--propagate Bharata-Nrityam pedagogy and the Collaborative Action Dance Project (CADP) model so any student of performance arts can deepen their practice, and
spiritual growth--support the artist's inner journey and facilitate reflection, self-expression, dialogue, and healing.

The mission of Dansense is based on its values of liberation, fearlessness and the radical, inclusivity and individual voice, collision in positive encounters, and expansiveness and plurality.
